MOSCOW, June 25 (Xinhua) -- The United States is not yet ready to eliminate the difficulties around the work of the diplomatic missions of both countries, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said on Wednesday.
"I can assume that the American side, despite some movements, some progress, is not yet ready to seriously say goodbye to the difficulties that have been created around the work of diplomatic missions," Ushakov said.
The foreign departments of both countries will "probably agree" to continue consultations to eliminate the irritants in bilateral relations, he added.
Ushakov noted that negotiations include many complex issues, and that he hopes the process would continue.
Russia and the United States held two rounds of consultations on Feb. 27 and April 10, respectively, in Istanbul, Türkiye. On June 16, Russia said that the United States had canceled the plan for the next round of talks. ■
